It might not make it through the night....

Just a quick "stopping by" post really.
High winds are predicted for us tonight/tomorrow and I really don't think my greenhouse will make it through the night. It looks quite blustery out there now.

Anyway, the whole point of the post is that I've just been browsing one of my many gardening forums that I'm a member of and noticed someone has recommended a company called Norfolk Greenhouses.

After a quick 10 minute browse, I think it's safe to say that I might have to purchase this one:

It's the 'budget' greenhouse and really does count as a budget being that it will only set me back £69.00!!! And with only £10 for postage & packaging.... It really does make my £35 plastic attempt look really poor.

I shall keep you posted!

That is a bargain, I have had the same thoughts about needing a walk in greenhouse today as I squashed my tomato and cucumber grow bags into the bottom of my mini greenhouses. Let me know how you get on with ordering it and erecting it. Happy shopping!

I should be ordering it next week. Having to bring in all the plants and seedlings from the greenhouse tonight. Just incase the worst should happen. Then I'll be taking the plastic one down tomorrow and returning to the retailer. I really wouldn't recommend the plastic one, especially since I've only had it a few days and it's broken already.

I'll let you know how I get on x

How's the walk-in greenhouse now? I had a grow bag one a few years back and it was fab, had tons of tomatoes in it and was quite sturdy. When I moved I got another one, but it ripped, tore and generally fell to bits and the tomatoes languished. :-(

I didn't learn though, I bought a walk in one and then remembered that I live at the seaside and we get really high winds sometimes! I use bits of the frame as plant supports but I don't know what to do with the cover. The whole thing shook itself to pieces within about three days, I didn't even get to put plants in it. Still, the staging it next ot the back door and has hardier plants on it - or the ones I don't want the hens to eat.

Thanks for the greenhouse link, that looks fab and I may have to buy one too. I'm slowly dismantling the one at my gran's house but my grandpa glued all the glass in so it's slow work!

Cheers for the link to the swapseeds group too, BTW. :-) (I'm Fiona, I'm Halla on Blogger. :-)

The walk-in greenhouse has been taken back to the retailer for a full refund. Now I'm just waiting to save up the extra for the new greenhouse, hopefully not much longer...

Wow. Those things are quite flimsy, I think mine managed to last past a reasonable time though so I wouldn't have got a refund. Good luck with it! :-)
